Toby Kress

Toby has supported companies of all sizes to innovate for the last 10 years - designing and delivering highly successful innovation programmes for corporations, universities and startups. He is responsible for all Public and Corporate programmes running at Plus X. Toby recently ran a programme with Southern Water, supporting them to connect with startups in addressing key challenges in their innovations.

Sarah has had vast experience developing and cultivating relationships with corporate partners and startups globally. She now focuses her time on working with Plus X clients on their collaboration with startups on their innovation initiatives. Her interest and passion for sustainability has increased over the last few years, with a particular interest in how technology can improve our sustainability efforts.

Anneza joined the team from Startup Bootcamp where she was Global Programme Manager working on startup programmes internationally. She now splits her time between running the UK’s leading hardware accelerator and managing startup collaboration projects with our clients. Through these programmes, Anneza has supported circular economy material startups such as Chip[s] Board and Biophilica to grow.

Dr Sally Beken

Alongside a plethora ofgreat achievements, including holding a Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Sally hasbeen an Innovation Lead at Innovate UK and monitored a portfolio of over 60projects, and co-wrote scope for plastics-related competitions. Since the BluePlanet II episode featuring plastics aired she has been determined to see lessplastic waste entering the environment whilst realising the positive benefitsof polymers to mitigating climate change and supporting sustainability. Shefounded and currently heads up the UK Circular Plastics Network and leads onthe Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging activity at KTN.

Ian Tracey

Ian has a wealth of experience helping companies to understand the mix of funding and connections that they need and help them tell their story with clarity to prospective customers, grant providers and investors. He uses his network as a rich source of useful connections to fix the gaps that these companies have. Ian also acts as a Non Exec Director for companies and as a “Critical Friend” for earlier stage projects.Ian uses his knowledge about company growth to help policymakers to understand what they need to do to help different sectors. This has included national innovation audits for the EU, as well as more localised work for universities.
